Terms of Use

Iron Rice Bowl is the trading name for Mike Yeung's coaching and content business, registered in Hong Kong. The site at iron-rice-bowl.com and this application are operated by us. Where the platform is used, additional terms of the platform may apply alongside ours.

Coursework and module enrolment are delivered through our Teachable school. Wellness products are supplied by SYT Wellness (上醫堂). Our role across the site is curation, education, coaching, and the order experience.

By using this site, opening an account, enrolling in a module, buying a wellness product, joining the Companions Rewards Club, or attending a session, you accept these Terms of Use in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

You must be at least eighteen years of age, or have written consent from a parent or guardian, to make a purchase or enrol. The information you provide must be true and kept current.

Your account is personal. It is not transferable. You are responsible for the security of your login, your email address on file, and the activity under your account.

We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, abuse of staff or other members, sharing of paid content, scraping of the site, or any act that endangers the integrity of the platform.

Coaching content is for educational use only. It is not a guarantee of any examination result, any interview outcome, or any appointment to the Hong Kong civil service. Outcomes depend on the individual, the cohort year, and factors outside our control.

Once access to a specific Bundle or Module is granted, it is non-refundable. Once a coaching session is booked and confirmed, it is non-transferable to another person. These terms are stated on every individual programme page and are incorporated into these Terms in full.

Course materials, recordings, slides, frameworks, mock answers, and written feedback are licensed to you for personal study. They may not be copied, redistributed, posted publicly, resold, or used to train any model, in part or in whole.

Unauthorized reproduction or resale of any course material is strictly prohibited. Such acts may expose you to civil and criminal liability under the Copyright Ordinance (Cap. 528) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including damages, an account of profits, and, for serious cases, imprisonment. We reserve the right to pursue legal action and to revoke access without refund where these rights are breached.

Live sessions are recorded for the cohort's reference unless announced otherwise. By attending, you consent to the recording.

Prices are quoted in Hong Kong dollars (HK$) unless stated otherwise. Prices include applicable taxes where required by Hong Kong law. Bank fees and foreign-exchange spreads imposed by your card issuer are not our responsibility.

Payment is processed by Stripe and, for modules, by Teachable. We do not store your full card number. By paying, you accept the processor's own terms.

We may change prices at any time. A price already paid is honoured for the order it was paid for.

Wellness products are herbal health products. They are not registered pharmaceuticals. They do not cure, diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. Statements drawn from traditional Chinese medicine reflect classical use, not clinical claim.

Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children, and people on prescription medication should consult a registered medical or Chinese medicine practitioner before use. Stop and seek advice if any reaction occurs.

Delivery, returns, exchange, and the non-transferability of wellness purchases are set out in detail on the Wellness Policy page and the Returns and Refund page. Those sections form part of these Terms.

Points are personal. They cannot be transferred, gifted, sold, pooled, inherited, or moved between accounts.

Points have no cash value. They may only be redeemed for the rebates and items listed in the catalogue at the time of redemption.

Multipliers and seasonal campaigns apply only within their stated window and only to qualifying purchases. We may end a campaign early, or change the rate, where abuse or technical error is found.

We may adjust, hold, or void points where fraud, chargeback, return, or technical error is established. We do not adjust points based on a member's preference.

When you subscribe to the IRB Monthly, you consent to receive email from us. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of each email or by writing to us.

Operational email — such as receipts, booking confirmations, and policy notices — is sent regardless of newsletter status. It is not promotional and cannot be unsubscribed from while you hold an active product, booking, or membership.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suit any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or connected with this site, your account, a course, a session, or a product is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of opportunity, loss of an appointment, or loss arising from your reliance on the educational content.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them.

Before bringing a claim, please write to us. Most issues resolve quickly in writing.

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced on the site and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new Terms.
