Policy Express Sprint 2026/27
How these briefs are checked
We want you to know what stands behind each brief, and what does not.
- 1
Source-checked. Facts and figures are checked against primary sources where we could retrieve them: the Policy Address and its supplement, the Budget Speech, Government press releases, Legislative Council papers and panel records, and official statistics releases.
- 2
† means press reporting. Where a figure could only be found in press reporting, it is marked †. Treat it as a lead and confirm it at source before you quote it.
- 3
(J) means IRB judgement. Calculations, scores, proposed dates and the recommendations themselves are ours. They are marked (J) where they sit beside a figure. They are not Government positions.
- 4
暫譯 means provisional. Where an official English or Chinese name could not be confirmed, the translation is marked 暫譯 (provisional) or “to be verified”.
- 5
Where sources disagree. We either show both figures or record the difference for editorial review.
- 6
As at 25 Oct 2026. Policy moves. Check the latest official source before you quote anything.
- 7
